Director

Isabelle Garon is Vice-President, President’s Office, Cooperation and Director Support, Desjardins Group. She works closely with Desjardins Group’s President and CEO, providing support as he fulfills his mandate, and is the main liaison for the Board of Directors and for elected caisse directors.

Isabelle is in charge of coordination for the Office of the President and CEO. Her mandate also includes collaborating with senior management to ensure that Desjardins Group’s strategies and initiatives reflect our cooperative nature, values and mission. Her top priority is creating a corporate culture where everyone always does what’s best for our members and clients.

Isabelle joined Desjardins Group in 2005 as a strategic advisor to senior management. Prior to that, she was a political attaché with Quebec’s department of health and social services, a strategic advisor with the public health department and an advisor for the deputy secretary of Québec’s Ministère du conseil exécutif.

She is a member of the International Confederation of Popular Banks’ Executive Committee. Over the last few years, she was also the chair of the fundraising campaign for the Fondation des Auberges du cœur, an organization that helps troubled and homeless youth across Quebec.
