The Canadian Co-operative Investment Fund (CCIF) has named its founding Board of Directors. Andy Morrison, recently retired CEO of Arctic Co-operatives Ltd. is the new Board Chair of CCIF while Peter Hough from Canadian Worker Co-op Federation will serve as vice-chair. The current Board is made up of investors only and will add co-op developers and borrowers after the inaugural AGM next year.
Kathy Bardswick, President and CEO of The Co-operators, will also sit on the founding Board along with Michaël Béland from Co-operatives and Mutuals Canada, Gérald St-Aubin from Desjardins Group, Myrna Hewitt from Affinity Credit Union, and Sandi Kaye from Connect First.
The CCIF also launched its new website, which will be developed as the primary information portal for investors and for those seeking financing. You can find the new site at ccif.coop
CCIF is completing the final preparations to get into operations in the upcoming week. New investments will be announced next week.
