CMC is very pleased to welcome Marie-Pier Duquette, Manager – Member Engagement, to its team.
Marie-Pier is a bilingual professional with expertise in stakeholder relationships, service delivery, project management, quality assurance and finance. She is a resourceful leader who manages and mitigates high-pressure situations with ease, fosters motivation and always strives for innovation. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Philosophy at the University of Ottawa and has since accumulated 10 years of management experience. She spent the majority of her career in hospitality where her responsibilities ranged from leading Guest Services departments within luxury Marriott and Hyatt hotels, overseeing an accounting team, to joining Deloitte as a consultant performing brand standard evaluations in hotels across North America. From there, she transitioned into an Employment and Training Consultant at the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development where she supported numerous agreements with service providers receiving provincial funds. As she embarks into her new role as the Manager, Member Engagement with CMC, she is excited about developing her knowledge of the co-operative movement while supporting members and enhancing the member experience. In her free time, Marie-Pier enjoys hiking, cycling, discovering craft breweries and local restaurants, and spending time outdoors. She is also an avid traveler who’s always dreaming about which part of the world she will explore next.
