TOGETHER
A Member-Driven Association
Co-operatives and Mutuals Canada is a bilingual association that supports and brings together 8,000 small, medium and large Canadian co-operative and mutual businesses.
Our vision is to build a community of co-operative businesses, while contributing collectively to their economic, social, and political development.
We carry out our mission by focusing on:
Policy research
Member communication
Engagement and networking opportunities
Professional and educational service development for our members
We encourage Canadians to recognize the value of the co-operative model in public sectors and at governmental levels. We also want Canadians to be aware of the benefits that are offered by co-operative and mutual businesses.
We believe it is important to keep our members informed on our primary issues. Our various tools are available on smartphones, tablets, and computers, offering a variety of relevant information from public policies archives to recent news. CMC’s newsletter and member reports keep members up to date about news in the co-operative and mutuals sector and in other spheres of the Canadian co-operative economy.
Our goal is to ensure that the leaders of the Canadian co-operative economy, their managers, teams, and members remain informed on the issues and opportunities within the Canadian co-operative and mutuals economic sector.
