As October wraps up and November kicks-in, I look back the month we’ve just had with a proud smile. CMC had an incredibly busy month, but we also accomplished so much. With travels across the globe, collaborative discussions with partners, setting priorities for the upcoming year, and a successful Co-op Week, what more could I ask for? Seeing our team grow and share their passion for co-operatives has been a constant source of inspiration for me.

As I sit to write this message, I try to think about the highlights of this month. The definitive high point for me was participating in Co-op Week. During our “JEDI Roundtable: How Co-operatives Can Become Allies?” we had some very open conversations regarding the future of co-operative movement, how it can become more inclusive, reflective the values found within our sector. I learned so much and acknowledge that there is still a lot of work to be done, even here at CMC.

November is at our doorstep and although it is a quieter on the event front, we will continue the work of promoting the co-operative movement and helping our fellow co-ops. CMC will be attending various events in November, including the Alberta Community and Co-operative Association’s The Gathering in Edmonton (Nov 1–3) and the Canadian Worker Co-op Federation/CoopZone Annual Conference in Vancouver (Nov 16–19). We hope to see you there and continue on the important discussions put forward during Co-op Week.

With that in mind, I leave you with this newest edition of our monthly newsletter and proudly showcasing the hard work our team has done over the past little while.
