Procedures for submitting resolutions
The 8th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Co-operatives and Mutuals Canada (CMC) will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021.
Procedures for submitting resolutions:
- CMC members are asked to submit resolutions by February 17, 2021, to allow due consideration of resolutions by all members.
- Resolutions should be sent to the attention of Martin Roy, Executive Assistant, at mroy@canada.coop
- The Governance and Resolutions Committee will review the resolutions and make the required changes as authorized.
- Resolutions will be sent to the membership by April 28, 2021, with the Notice of the Meeting to permit their consideration by each member’s Board of Directors.

CMC’s value proposition to its members includes the opportunity for them to get the support of CMC. This approach will continue. CMC will ensure that:
- a specific resolution does not impact negatively another member
- members are provided with solid background information to understand the issues being raised by the resolution.
- the resolution is relevant to the broader CMC mandate
- the resolution is the members' responsibility (and not the responsibility of the CMC Board of Directors)
