Emerging Co-operator

Sarah Jensen grew up in Castlegreen Housing Co-operative in Thunder Bay, Ontario, which gave her a strong belief in the co-operative sector from a very young age, and a passion for youth involvement in the local, provincial, and national co-operative community. She became a Board member in her co-op at 18, and has since served as Treasurer and as Vice President. She has been highly involved with the Ontario Co-operative Association, developing and delivering workshops and presentations on co-operatives and working with the Ontario Co-operative Young Leaders Program. She has also been involved with CHF Canada, attending the Vision Summit in 2018, joining their Emerging Leader’s Network, and developing and moderating a workshop at their 2019 AGM in London, Ontario. In 2018, she joined the CEC, and she looks forward to continuing to build the future of the co-operative sector in Canada. She is pursuing a degree in political science and pre-law, and hopes to use this to help with advocacy and outreach in the co-op sector.
