This project&nbsp;will include provincial and territorial data, whenever possible.<\/p>\n<p>Key data points covered will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Jobs and GDP impact reports for 2019 and 2020, providing us with a continuity of data from&nbsp;the&nbsp;national release of our 2018 Jobs\/GDP Study at&nbsp;our&nbsp;Congress&nbsp;in Qu\u00e9bec City,<\/li>\n<li>A&nbsp;comparative&nbsp;overview of our sector\u2019s response to previous&nbsp;historic&nbsp;economic\/social&nbsp;periods&nbsp;of crisis,<\/li>\n<li>A comparison&nbsp;between&nbsp;the impact of the pandemic on co-operatives&nbsp;versus other industry groups, and<\/li>\n<li>A series of updates throughout the&nbsp;2.5-year&nbsp;study&nbsp;period, providing members with a window on the impacts of the pandemic, and our sector\u2019s resilience to its&nbsp;effects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is CMC\u2019s intent to broadly disseminate the findings of this research project as&nbsp;data becomes available, to be followed by a final report, due in late 2022.<\/p>\n<p>CMC would like to congratulate the academic institutions whose&nbsp;consortia was selected to carry out the research, namely&nbsp;the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.smu.ca\/academics\/sobey\/sobey-international-centre-co-op-management.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">International Centre for Co-operative Management&nbsp;(ICCM)&nbsp;at&nbsp;Saint Mary\u2019s University<\/a>,&nbsp;the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.irecus.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Institut de&nbsp;recherche et d\u2019\u00e9ducation&nbsp;pour les cooperatives et les mutuelles de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Sherbrooke (IRECUS)<\/a>,&nbsp;and the\u202f<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbu.ca\/academics\/schools\/shannon-school-of-business\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Shannon School of Business at Cape Breton University<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For more information about this project, or to share your co-operative\u2019s COVID-19 story, please email:\u202f<a href=\"mailto:Iva.Jankovic@smu.ca\">Iva.Jankovic@smu.ca<\/a>.[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=&#8221;4.9.7&#8243;
