{"id":238006,"date":"2018-07-10T13:59:00","date_gmt":"2018-07-10T17:59:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canada.coop\/the-cmc-board-welcomed-two-new-members-for-2018-2019\/"},"modified":"2022-09-08T11:36:13","modified_gmt":"2022-09-08T15:36:13","slug":"the-cmc-board-welcomed-two-new-members-for-2018-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canada.coop\/en\/the-cmc-board-welcomed-two-new-members-for-2018-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"The CMC Board welcomed two new members for 2018-2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Co-operatives and Mutuals Canada (CMC) Annual General Meeting was held on June 21 in Victoria, B.C.<\/p>\n<p>CMC welcomed two new Board members: Ghislain Gervais, President of the Board of Directors at La Coop f\u00e9d\u00e9r\u00e9e and John Kay, Vice-president of the British Columbia Co-operative Association, representing the Provincial Associations.<\/p>\n<p>Stephanie Guico, representing the Canadian Worker Co-operative Federation, and Normand Lafreni\u00e8re, representing the Canadian Association of Mutual Insurance Companies, were also acclaimed for a new term as Directors.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to welcoming new Board members, Martha Durdin, Executive Director of Canadian Credit Union Association, was elected as Vice President.&nbsp; Doug Potentier was reconfirmed as President and Normand Lafreni\u00e8re was reconfirmed as Vice President.<\/p>\n<p>CMC thanks outgoing Board members Victoria Morris, Executive Director of the Saskatchewan Co-operative Association and Luc Forget, Vice-President (retiring) of La Coop f\u00e9d\u00e9r\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CMC is looking for member representatives interested in participating in the following CMC Committees: Nominating, Resolutions, Awards and Government Affairs.&nbsp;&nbsp;Interested individuals should contact Madeleine Brillant, Director of Corporate Affairs at&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:mbrillant@canada.coop\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mbrillant@canada.coop<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Co-operatives and Mutuals Canada (CMC) Annual General Meeting was held on June 21 in Victoria, B.C.
