OTTAWA, Tuesday, 13<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span> September 2022<\/span><\/span><\/strong>. <\/span><\/strong>CMC is proud and happy to celebrate once again Co-op Week<\/span> (from October 16<\/span><\/span> to October <\/span>21<\/span><\/span> 2022). This year, our theme <\/span>is \u201cCo-operation in the World of Tomorrow.\u201d As the Canadian co-operative movement face<\/span>d <\/span>the difficulties of <\/span>a<\/span> global pandemic and many other hurdles in the last few years, we, as a community, are looking at how we can build a better future<\/span> <\/span>through co-operation. <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe future of co-operation lies in building relationships within our communities,” explains Hugues Bourgeois, Executive Director of Co-operatives and Mutuals Canada (CMC). “Building bridges and fluid communication between each valued member of the co-operative movement in Canada is a sure way to ensure inter-cooperation, knowledge sharing and best practices to make ourselves stronger and better equipped for the future in an ever-changing world.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

JEDI Roundtable: How Co-operatives Can Become Allies?<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Justice, equity, diversity and inclusion (JEDI) are important pieces of the puzzle for a bright co-operative future. <\/span> As CMC<\/span> wants to encourage discussion surrounding this primordial part of <\/span>today\u2019s<\/span> and <\/span>tomorrow\u2019s world, a JEDI Roundtable will be hosted <\/span>on <\/span><\/span>Wednesday, October 19<\/span><\/span>th <\/span><\/span>at noon EST<\/span><\/span>. This hour and a half open <\/span>roundtable<\/span> wil<\/span>l<\/span> be moderated by Iva Jankovic<\/span>, board member of CMC, <\/span>and<\/span> <\/span>the discussion <\/span>will <\/span>be <\/span>opened by six JEDI experts<\/span>: <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
