Canada’s co-operative movement has been building communities for over 150 years, with over 10 million Canadians now members of a co-operative, credit union or mutual. In times of uncertainty and disruption, co-operatives are a trusted source of stability, resiliency and innovation – today and for the future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the new Executive Director of CMC, Michael will focus on growing the co-operative movement in Canada by supporting CMC\u2019s Members and delivering results on CMC\u2019s strategic priorities. Ultimately, the success of the cooperative movement means making it easier for more people \u2013 consumers, policy makers and all Canadians \u2013 to understand the value of co-operation and the benefits it offers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Author of many articles and reports, co-editor of the book Community Economic Development: Building for Social Change, <\/em>Michael has experience, among others, as a consultant in community economic development, a policy analyst, a lecturer, and a researcher.
