It’s hard to believe that 2022 is only weeks away from being done. So much has changed since the beginning of the year. If I had to choose one word to sum up the year CMC had, it would be “progress.” Our organization has progressed so much this year, as we worked towards expanding the team, solidifying policies, and delivering on our strategic plan. Looking back at the year, I am immensely proud of everything we have accomplished at CMC—we have truly turned a new page within this organization.

This month was like no other, as we began with welcoming a new addition to our team. Tara Molloy has been hired as Senior Membership Engagement Advisor and will be key to the execution of CMC’s membership retention and engagement plan. Tara has been busy getting to know the team, understanding her file, and will be planning meetings with our members in the new year. We’re also happy to announce the launch of the Board Nominations, the call for resolutions and the CMC Awards for 2023. All three are wonderful opportunities for co-operatives, mutuals, and co-operators across the country to showcase their passion for our sector. Make sure to read on in our newsletter to get more information on how to apply.

With my last message of 2022, I wanted to take the time to thank everyone for their support and dedication to the co-operative and mutual sector in Canada. This is a wonderful group of devoted people who want to make the world a better place—I am truly proud to be a part of it. I also want to wish everyone a Happy Holiday season and a wonderful New Year! Let us take the time to rest, reset, spend time with our loved ones, and come back in 2023 with the energy and determination to keep this momentum going.
