It’s official: Summer is here and in full swing! After a busy couple of months and a whirlwind of a Congress, our team is taking some time to slow down, recoup, and enjoy the sunshine! It may only be July, but CMC is already anticipating an action-packed Fall, which is why it’s so important for the team to take time to reset and come back filled with energy and passion for the Canadian co-operative and mutual sector!
In between vacation days, CMC has also been busy planning for the next year. I can honestly say that I am excited for the year ahead as our team is coming up with bright and creative ideas to help promote and educate the public about the co-operative movement. I have also witnessed some passionate discussions about how CMC can respond to its members’ needs and rollout more membership-driven services. I cannot wait to share these updates with you as details are solidified, so please keep an eye on this space.
Lastly, I am proud to announce that, in collaboration with Co-operators, we are able to offer funding to help 10 individuals under the age of 35 attend the upcoming Global Innovation Coop Summit 2023, which is being held in Montreal from September 27th to 29th, 2023. Each recipient will be able to claim up to $1,500 to help cover travel, lodging, meals, and registration.
