CMC is very pleased to welcome Sope Ogunrinde, Project Manager, Social Innovation and Social Finance, to its team.
Sope will be leading all CMC activities related to the Investment Readiness Program (IRP). She will work with sector stakeholders to mobilize co-operatives to apply for capacity-building grants and collaborate with numerous other partners within the social innovation and social finance ecosystem.
Sope brings an extensive background in international development and non-profit governance. She most recently worked as the Communications Project Officer with Women in the Informal Economy: Globalizing and Organizing (WIEGO) and has worked at Oxfam Canada and the Ranch Ehrlo Society, among others. She also served as the Executive Director of the AIDS Programs of South Saskatchewan (APSS).
In addition to her strong administrative, governance and board skills, Sope has significant experience in international development, having worked for over six years in a variety of roles in Latin America, Africa and the Caribbean. She is strongly committed to issues of gender equality, women’s rights and inclusion. Sope has a BA in International Development Studies from the University of Regina and an MA in Development Policy and Practice from the University of New Hampshire.
