Ottawa, September 1, 2016 – Co-operatives and Mutuals Canada (CMC) congratulates Rob Wesseling on his appointment as President and CEO of The Co-operators Group Ltd, a position he will occupy on December 1, 2016.

Mr. Wesseling will take over this role from Kathy Bardswick, current President and CEO of The Co-operators Group, who announced her retirement last February. Ms. Bardswick is a steadfast champion of co-operation and will be greatly missed. An engaged visionary of great ability, Ms. Bardswick has been a brilliant leader of The Co-operators Group.
